Lives and works in Lima

I am a visual artist, graduated from the specialty of Painting at the Art Faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, interested in contemporary artistic research and drawing and working with my hands.

There are infinite possibilities to approach a space, an object and time. In my work, these possibilities are manifested through my interest in the affective and spatial memory generated by a series of personal belongings, materialities and local events.

In the collective construction of a shared future we must not lose sight of the stories, dreams, fears and struggles written in first person.
Intuition is a very important element in my work, a powerful material without form or color, but always present in the constant observation of the situations that surround me and that allow me to inhabit safe spaces through a deep dialogue with myself and with the women who are part of my close context.
Together we create small collectivities and exchanges that are part of the objects and texts that I build in this vital process, and that become small traces of people, time and spaces.

In a past and a present where our voice is constantly taken away, it is important to dream of futures where the voices that come out of our throat are intoned by ourselves and not by others, written by ourselves and not by others, embraced by ourselves and to share that embrace together.
Our origins, journeys, female ancestors and paths we have traveled are the basis for understanding where we sit to dream and allow us to wonder what colors those dreams have, who speaks, who is silent, who laughs or cries in them.
